Carabello Coffee Website Redesign

Carabello Coffee Website Redesign

Carabello had the same website since 2013 and needed a serious facelift. Over the years, their online orders increased considerably. They also saw an increase in mobile sales. Carabello needed to update the site to make it easier for mobile users to purchase products, they wanted to share more visual imagery of their vision and mission, and gain more wholesale client leads.

Who is Carabello coffee?

Carabello Coffee is a philanthropic coffee roasting company in Newport, KY. They have been roasting coffee for over 10 years. They started in a garage with a 1lb roaster to now having a large cafe on 9th Street in downtown Newport and a roasting facility a block and a half away on Saratoga St.

Carabello prides itself in having a direct relationship with their producers. They wanted to show those relationships on the front page.

Responsive Site

During the pitch session, I mentioned that we need to make sure with this redesign that the site is responsive. We’ve noticed an uptick in our customers purchasing coffee, class tickets, and event tickets via mobile devices. With that knowledge, we found a template within Shopify that highlighted mobile use.

Since the redesign, we saw an increase in mobile sales of roughly 89% from the year prior. This was in addition to email marketing that I sent out weekly as well. This communication ranged from product releases, new classes and events as well as our story.
